Sales Director – Used Vehicles (Volvo Laval)
Volvo Laval, a member of the Taddeo Auto Group and a key player in the automotive industry in Quebec, is seeking a Sales Director – Used Vehicles to lead and develop our dedicated business. Context and Position Overview
- Location: Laval, Quebec
- Environment: Growing family group, culture of operational excellence and customer focus
- Mission: Lead and optimize the entire Used Vehicles sector, in synergy with Service, Parts, Supply, and Finance departments
Key Responsibilities
- Define and achieve sales and margin targets for Used Vehicles; design and deploy a multichannel sales strategy (showroom, web, digital marketing) tailored to the local market.
- Lead, coach, and unify the sales team; set individual goals, monitor performance, and maintain a service and results-oriented culture.
- Optimize inventory, pricing, and promotions in collaboration with Supply and Finance departments; maximize turnover and profitability.
- Oversee the entire sales process (qualification, demonstration, negotiation, financing, and delivery) and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, financial partners, and sourcing channels; ensure after-sales follow-up and cross-selling opportunities.
- Collaborate with Service and Parts departments to optimize satisfaction and loyalty; support cross-departmental sales objectives.
- Manage the department budget and monitor key performance indicators (sales volume, conversion rate, gross margin, average sales time, customer satisfaction, etc.).
- Stay informed about market trends and used vehicle patterns; adjust offerings and tactics to remain competitive in Laval and surrounding areas.
- Regularly present performance and forecasts to management and contribute to Taddeo Auto Group’s strategic planning.
- Ensure integration of sales activities (used and new) and coordination across departments.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in used vehicle sales, with team management experience and measurable results.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills; customer-oriented with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
- Proficiency in French; operational knowledge of English; familiarity with CRM tools and automotive financing and warranty processes.
- Analytical mindset, results-oriented, well-organized, with the ability to make quick decisions in a competitive environment.
- Knowledge of the Quebec automotive market and used vehicle trends; relevant education (DEC or bachelor’s degree in administration, marketing, or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team and promote a culture of collaboration and operational excellence.
