Claims Clerk – Automotive Customer Service

Saint-Laurent Hyundai, a dealership in the Montreal region, is seeking a Claims Clerk to strengthen its team dedicated to customer service excellence.

Mission Ensure the processing and follow-up of customer claims by coordinating actions with the Service, Sales, and Financing departments to achieve a quick and satisfactory resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, record, and track claims related to new and used vehicles, after-sales service, and financing.
• Analyze facts, document actions and decisions, and ensure traceability of files.
• Collaborate with technicians, advisors, and managers to clarify details and propose suitable solutions.
• Regularly communicate with customers about the progress and resolution of claims.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, warranties, and confidentiality of information.
• Produce reports on claims and trends, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Provide administrative support via CRM tools and internal systems.
• Manage the follow-up of parts returns requested by manufacturers and the opening/closing of work orders.
• Prepare and submit warranty claims to the manufacturer.

Profile and Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in claims management, customer service, or technical support; experience in the automotive industry is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in French; English is a plus.
• Customer service orientation, diplomacy, ability to handle sensitive situations, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Organization, rigor, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
• Proficiency with computer tools (CRM, office suites); knowledge of warranty processes is an asset.
• Team spirit, independence, and adaptability.
