Workshop Dispatcher – Service Department

The Position
Reporting to the Fixed Operations Manager, the workshop dispatcher ensures optimal allocation of work, promotes coordination between technicians, service advisors, and management, and contributes to the smooth operation of the department.

Main Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign work orders to 28 technicians based on their skills and workload.
• Prioritize interventions according to appointments, emergencies, and deadlines.
• Ensure workshop efficiency and productivity.
• Track repairs and optimize vehicle flow within the workshop.
• Work closely with service advisors to meet delivery deadlines.
• Maintain clear communication between the technical team and the service team.
• Identify support or resource needs to avoid delays.
• Maintain a structured and efficient work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement of workshop processes.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Good knowledge of automotive mechanics and workshop operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proficiency in computer tools and the SDSWin workshop software (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Ford products (an asset).
