Workshop Supervisor / Experienced Supervisor
Location: Saint-Rémi, QC - Ste-Marie Chevrolet Buick GMC Corvette
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our workshop and ensure the quality of repairs, technical team leadership, and customer satisfaction within our after-sales service.
About the position You guarantee the daily operational performance of the workshop, adhere to quality and safety standards, and develop the skills of the technical team. You work closely with the customer service and parts department to optimize workflows, timelines, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee workshop activities; allocate resources and prioritize interventions to meet deadlines and standards.
- Lead, supervise, and train the technician team; evaluate performance and implement professional development plans.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, safety standards, and diagnostic and repair processes, especially for GM vehicles.
- Ensure the quality of work at each stage; perform final inspections and secure traceability of work orders and documentation.
- Collaborate with customer service and parts department to optimize workflows, deadlines, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage material and human resources (parts, tools, schedules) and coordinate preventative maintenance and major repairs.
- Analyze performance indicators (productivity, deadlines, customer feedback) and propose corrective actions or continuous improvements.
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of proven experience supervising an auto repair shop; GM experience or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of diagnostic and repair processes, as well as safety and quality standards in the workshop.
- Relevant diploma in automotive mechanics (DEP or equivalent); additional training in operational management or supervision is an asset.
- Proficiency in French; knowledge of technical English is a plus.
- Availability to work as needed in the workshop and promote a safety and customer service culture.
