Mission

As Workshop Manager for the bodywork and dent repair division, you ensure daily operations, supervise the team of technicians, plan and monitor work, guarantee quality, productivity, and adherence to deadlines. You also handle estimation and assessment files when necessary and maintain communication with insurance companies.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan workshop tasks on a daily and weekly basis according to priorities, deadlines, and team capacity.
• Distribute tasks among technicians and rigorously monitor repair progress.
• Supervise, motivate, and mobilize the team to meet performance goals.
• Participate in meetings and follow-ups with stakeholders (clients, insurers, suppliers).
• Monitor performance indicators and propose improvement actions for productivity and profitability.
• Perform quality checks at each stage and inspect vehicles before delivery.
• Prepare damage estimates and manage assessment files when necessary; follow up on claims and communications with insurers.
• Manage complex cases involving clients, insurers, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the availability of parts and coordinate purchases with procurement managers.
• Organize and supervise the movement of vehicles within the workshop.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of methods and processes.
• Occasionally assist with HR activities (interviews, evaluations, leave planning) and support the team if needed.
• Perform related tasks based on operational needs.

Profile Sought

• Minimum 5 years of experience in auto bodywork, dent repair, and automotive painting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in workshop supervision or management and team leadership.
• Excellent knowledge of the body repair process, from estimation to delivery.
• Experience in damage estimation, claims management, and collaboration with insurers.
• Ability to independently handle and manage assessment files.
• Good knowledge of automotive parts, repair costs, and procurement processes.
• Mastery of estimation and body shop management software (e.g., Mitchell, Qapter, NexeraSys, or equivalents).
• Proven skills in monitoring performance indicators and operational optimization.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and handling of delicate situations.
• Comfortable both on the workshop floor and in an office environment.
• Fluency in French (spoken and written).
• Training in bodywork, automotive mechanical engineering, management, or related fields (asset).

• Annual Salary: $75,000 – $85,000, depending on experience.
