Inspector - Automotive Inspection and Litigation Service

Under the responsibility of the Director of the Inspection and Litigation Service, the holder supervises the practice of the profession and protects the public. You analyze professional files, assess the compliance of practices, and assist practitioners toward continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

• Inspect working conditions in regulated establishments
• Detect irregularities, infractions, fraud, or derogations
• Notify infractions and propose corrective measures
• Inform employers and employees
• Facilitate relationships between regulated parties and automotive industry partners
• Contribute to the development of inspection strategies in collaboration with the team
• Maintain a high level of rigor and professionalism in performing duties
• Perform related tasks as required by immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (in investigation, inspection, labor relations, or the automotive services industry)
• Relevant DEP in automotive, administration, industrial relations, or law (an asset)
• Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written
• Good writing skills in both French and English

Working Conditions and Benefits

• Salary: according to current grid (starting at $36.83/hour as of January 1, 2026)
• Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
