Job Description
Service Department Manager – After-Sales Service At Boucherville Chrysler, we are seeking a passionate Service Department Manager to lead our service department, drive operational excellence in the workshop, and provide a top-notch customer experience while fostering team performance.
Job Description
- Oversee and coordinate all after-sales service activities, from work planning to the delivery of repaired vehicles.
- Supervise, motivate, and develop a team of technicians, service advisors, and supervisors to achieve quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Implement and monitor relevant KPIs (resolution rate, cycle time, productivity, repair profitability, complaint rate) and ensure continuous improvement.
- Optimize workflow, schedule appointments, and prioritize interventions to maximize workshop efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage warranties, parts, and operational costs of the service department in collaboration with the Sales and Parts departments.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience, handle returns and sensitive situations professionally.
- Actively participate in team development and ongoing training, and promote a culture of excellence and professional ethics.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 1 year of experience in management or supervision in an automotive or after-sales environment.
- Strong leadership, team spirit, excellent communication skills, and ability to inspire team members.
- High organizational rigor and a strong sense of Occupational Health and Safety.
- Results-oriented with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency with service management tools (DMS, CRM, inventory and warranty management) and knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair processes.
- Customer-focused mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and Parts teams.
- Relevant education (industrial engineering, management, automotive technician or equivalent). OSHA (Health and Safety at Work) training is an asset.
Training and Qualifications
- Relevant diploma or equivalent in management, automotive technology, or related field.
- Occupational Health and Safety training is appreciated.
