Service Advisor

Title: Automotive Mechanical Technical Advisor

Context We are supporting our growth and are looking for an automotive mechanical technical advisor to strengthen our team. Under the supervision of the service manager, you establish a trusting relationship with clients and guide them through the preventive maintenance process of their vehicle.

Responsibilities and duties

• Welcome clients and ensure quality service at all times
• Perform the "walk around" inspection of vehicles and open work orders
• Identify and accurately describe issues reported by clients
• Recommend maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines and suitable additional services
• Present promotions and relevant products based on vehicle assessment
• Act as a liaison between the client and the workshop to obtain necessary approvals
• Follow up and close work orders
• Explain estimates and invoices, and process payments
• Solicit feedback on service quality via CSI
• Schedule appointments and follow up with clients
• Participate in the sale of products and services

Desired profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an automotive technical advisor
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and manufacturer standards
• Ability to produce estimates, diagnose issues, and explain quotes
• Ability to work collaboratively with the workshop and secure necessary approvals
• Organized, detail-oriented with administrative rigor
• Good team spirit and excellent priority management
