Technical Advisor – AutoMédic Sillery Center (NAPA AUTOPRO Network)

About the position
The Technical Advisor acts as the link between customers and the technical team. He supervises technicians, coordinates interventions, and ensures follow-up on diagnostics and repair plans, respecting deadlines and quality standards.
Main responsibilities
- Greet customers, understand their needs, and present suitable solutions.
- Supervise and coordinate the team of technicians, assign work, and prioritize interventions.
- Support technicians in diagnostics and repair plans.
- Clearly communicate diagnostics and technical recommendations.
- Prepare and present detailed estimates and work plans.
- Monitor repair progress, ensure deadlines and quality of work.
- Proactively follow up with customers and assess their satisfaction.
- Document customer files and interventions performed.
- Promote a positive work environment focused on performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement of service processes and training of new team members.
Skills and profile sought
- Automotive mechanic diploma (DEP) or equivalent; relevant experience considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical advising or customer service in the automotive industry.
- Experience in team supervision/coordination (an asset).
- Motivational leadership and excellent work organization.
- Excellent communication skills, active listening, and customer service skills.
- Ability to interpret technical diagnostics and explain them clearly.
- Proficiency with workshop IT tools; knowledge of diagnostic systems (an asset).
- Fluency in French; English is an asset.
- Team spirit, rigor, and ability to handle multiple files simultaneously.
Daily tasks
- Monitor work progress and open/close work orders.
- Schedule appointments and manage phone communications.
- Produce repair cost estimates and present work plans.
- Provide customer service and follow-up.
- Contribute to product and service sales and process optimization.
