Service Advisor / Parts Clerk

Job type and conditions

  • Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • No evening shifts or weekend work
  • Location: Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot, QC

Key responsibilities

  • Schedule and plan customer appointments; greet customers and prepare work orders
  • Communicate clear and accurate information to technicians
  • Prepare accurate estimates and explain repair options
  • Order, receive stock parts, and bill for parts; explain invoices and collect payments
  • Assign work to technicians and monitor workflow
  • Manage warranty claims and return of parts
  • Write inspection reports for commercial clients
  • Request purchase orders from clients
  • Follow up on work and manage opening/closing of work orders

Required qualifications

  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Bilingual: French and English; Spanish is an asset
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Good practical knowledge of auto repairs, light trucks, and trailers
  • Strong knowledge of parts and tires
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Excellent writing skills; ability to prepare quotes and reports with impeccable grammar
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar customer service or parts position in an automotive setting
