Automotive Technical Advisor – Client and Technician Interface

Centre du Pneu Papineau, a qualified automotive service center specializing in mechanics and tires active since 1999 and located in Montreal, near Plateau-Mont-Royal, is seeking a Technical Advisor to join a team dedicated to excellent customer service and technical expertise.

Role and Objective

Be the interface between our customers and technicians, guide technical choices, and ensure an optimal customer experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in general mechanics or a related field is required.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and analyze their needs regarding tires and mechanical maintenance; clearly present options and their implications for safety and performance.
• Provide personalized advice on tires (types, sizes, seasonal performance) and related services (mounting, balancing, alignment, inspection).
• Quickly diagnose issues and coordinate interventions with technicians according to priorities and deadlines.
• Present quotes and recommendations, discuss options, and follow up until work is completed.
• Schedule and optimize appointments, ensure procedures and quality and safety standards are followed.
• Contribute to stock management and the presentation of products and promotions in-store.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, reflecting the company’s professional image and enhancing the customer experience.

Skills and Qualifications Required

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in an automotive workshop, tire center, or after-sales service.
• Good knowledge of automotive systems and components and tires; ability to interpret technical requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Excellent customer service skills, active listening, and ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
• Administrative rigor (management of quotes, invoicing, work order follow-up) and organizational skills.
• Team spirit, autonomy, and capacity to work in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of maintenance standards and dealership protocols; proficiency in French and, ideally, English.
