Position: Automotive Technical Advisor – Laval

We are seeking an Automotive Technical Advisor for our auto center in Laval. You will act as the liaison between the customer and the mechanic to meet maintenance and repair expectations and provide a quality customer experience.

Main Missions and Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, understand their needs, and propose suitable maintenance and repair solutions.
• Serve as a relay between the customer and the mechanics; communicate clearly about the progress of work and deadlines.
• Estimate costs and duration of interventions; ensure that the invoice matches the quote and guarantee delivery times.
• Manage repair orders and the status of parts; plan interventions and track their progress using work order management software.
• Follow up on customer service during repairs or maintenance; promptly handle problems and delicate situations with professionalism.
• Propose improvements to optimize the customer experience and the profitability of the auto center.
• Participate in training and coaching to develop skills.

Skills and Profile Desired

• Knowledge of automotive service sector trends and understanding of mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret quotes and repair orders; good grasp of cost and time concepts.
• Proficiency in computer tools related to parts management and work orders; practical knowledge of CoStar is a plus.
• Math skills and fast data entry.
• Similar experience in an auto center; experience at Canadian Tire is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license in the employment province.
