Sales Director – Automotive | Quebec
We are recruiting an experienced Sales Director to support the growth of a major player in the automotive sector, based in Quebec. You will oversee the commercial strategy and lead a dedicated team in a dynamic environment focused on operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual commercial strategy aligned with company goals.
- Lead, develop, and coach the sales team: recruitment, training, evaluation, and talent retention.
- Manage the sales cycle and pipeline, set ambitious goals, and monitor performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate closely with marketing, after-sales, and parts departments to ensure a consistent customer experience and maximize retention.
- Define and monitor the sales budget, optimize resource allocation, and improve sales performance.
- Participate in operational tasks related to sales and inventory (see typical tasks below).
Typical Tasks Related to the Position
- Purchasing vehicles at auctions and online platforms
- Administrative management and inventory control
- Closing sales and managing marketing deadlines
- Supervision of new and used vehicle departments
- Exchanges and partnerships between dealerships
- Regular evaluation and updates of vehicles
Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years of experience in sales management, ideally in the automotive industry
- University degree in business, marketing, or related field
- Proven leadership, ability to unify a team, and develop talent
- Strong negotiation skills, excellent communication, and influence capability
- Proficiency with CRM tools and analytical software (Excel, dashboards)
- Analytical mindset, results-oriented, and customer service focus
- In-depth knowledge of the automotive market
