Chief Executive Officer – Automotive Group (Montreal, Island) – Confidential Position

An automotive sector group based on the Island of Montreal is seeking an operational leader capable of providing overall management and driving growth. Experience within the Toyota network is considered a significant asset.

Context and Objective of the Position Under the authority of the Board of Directors and in collaboration with operational management, you will be responsible for defining and executing the overall strategy, ensuring financial performance, and supervising daily activities. You will ensure alignment between business objectives, customer requirements, and quality standards, while protecting and enhancing the company's reputation in the local and regional markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the overall strategy in line with profitability, growth, and customer service.
• Oversee operational, sales, financial, and HR divisions; ensure effective coordination between teams.
• Guarantee regulatory compliance, quality standards, safety, and environmental policies; promote continuous improvement.
• Lead financial management: budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource optimization.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealerships, suppliers, partners, and industry bodies.
• Lead digital transformation and innovation initiatives to increase operational efficiency and improve the customer experience.
• Recruit, develop, and retain talent; establish a culture of excellence, integrity, and performance.
• Represent the company to authorities and the Toyota network when necessary.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for the Board of Directors.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management or equivalent position.
• Experience in the automotive sector highly desired; experience with the Toyota network is a major advantage.
• Higher education degree (MBA, Master’s in administration, engineering, or related field) or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven leadership, results-oriented, strategic mindset, and ability to mobilize multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in French; English is an asset.
• Proficiency with management tools (ERP, Excel, financial analysis) and knowledge of quality and safety standards (ISO, etc.).
• Availability and local mobility; ability to operate in a competitive and constantly evolving environment.
