General Manager – Multi-Brand Car Dealership (Greater Montreal)

About Dilawri Dilawri Group, Canada's leading automotive network, represents 38 brands across 82 dealerships and employs over 3,500 staff. Recognized for operational excellence, customer engagement, and community involvement, we are seeking a General Manager to lead one of our dealerships located in Greater Montreal.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the operational and commercial strategy of the dealership, with clear objectives regarding revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage daily operations (sales, service, parts, finance, and back-office) to ensure efficiency, quality of service, and profitability.
• Develop and implement action plans to optimize the customer experience and sales processes, in compliance with Group standards and best practices.
• Establish, monitor, and analyze performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to management.
• Recruit, train, and develop talent, establish succession plans, and foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, integrity, and innovation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, team safety, and adherence to Group standards, including initiatives related to customer experience and transaction transparency.
• Collaborate with other dealerships and regional teams to share best practices and support the group's overall objectives.
• Lead operational investments and capitalize on growth and optimization opportunities (financing, services, digital experience).

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Relevant degree in business administration, management, commerce, or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or managing a car dealership, ideally in Canada.
• Strong skills in financial management, budget planning, and performance analysis.
• Proven leadership, ability to inspire and develop talent, customer service orientation, and results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingualism preferred (French and English); ability to operate within a multi-brand environment.
• Knowledge of the Quebec automotive market and industry trends; ability to navigate a multi-brand group context.
• Analytical mindset, proactive, takes initiative, and adaptable to challenges.
• Availability for occasional travel as required by the position.
