Fixed Operations Director – Fortier Ford (GENX Automotive Group) – Montreal East
Fortier Ford, a new dealership of the GENX Automotive Group located in Montreal East, is seeking an experienced Fixed Operations Director to oversee service, parts, and workshop activities and ensure an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and optimize fixed operations (service, parts, workshop, warranty, and administrative support) to ensure operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Implement operational procedures and standards that promote customer satisfaction, work quality, and safety.
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to completion rate, cycle time, workshop productivity, parts management, and operating margin.
- Manage the fixed operations budget, costs, and forecasts; collaborate with management on strategic planning.
- Lead, train, and develop service, parts, and workshop teams; recruitment, talent retention, training pathways, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Marketing departments, as well as with manufacturers, to ensure smooth integration and strong relationships.
- Oversee customer service policies and safety practices; ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage parts inventory and procurement; optimize flow management and repair and maintenance processes.
- Lead continuous improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives to enhance overall dealership performance.
- Participate in developing and executing the local operational strategy and positioning Fortier Ford within the GENX network.
Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed operations or in an operational management role within a car dealership.
- Proven leadership, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities; aptitude for motivating and developing teams.
- Customer and results-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and change management ability.
- Knowledge of service, parts, and warranty processes; familiarity with workshop management systems and performance metrics would be an asset.
- Adaptability, rigor, and organizational skills in a dynamic and service-oriented environment.
