Assistant Controller – Sainte-Julie or Montreal

Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting activities, financial management, and internal controls.
- Establish and ensure the control of financial information in compliance with accounting principles.
- Manage the budgeting process in coordination with other departments and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Rigorously manage cash flow, collections, expenses, and liquidity, including derivatives.
- Prepare GST and QST declarations.
- Perform analyses for different departments and actively participate in monthly and annual closing processes.
- Participate in hiring team members under your supervision, in collaboration with human resources.
- Coordinate the team's schedule (vacations, time off, etc.) and collaborate on special projects with management.
Desired Profile
- University degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role; experience in SMEs or dealership would be an asset.
- 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Functional English (fluent French; spoken and written).
- Excellent command of MS Office tools; expert in Excel (SQL query would be an advantage).
- Team spirit, ability to collaborate across departments, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines, strong analytical skills, and clear, effective communication skills.
- Resilience, availability, and reliability, with the ability to work under pressure.
