Detailing Manager – Auto Workshop
Under the supervision of the Service Director, the Detailing Manager ensures the operational and profitable management of the detailing workshop. They optimize production, control costs, and guarantee customer satisfaction while achieving sales and service objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the detailing workshop to achieve efficient production and timely delivery in accordance with standards.
- Design, monitor, and meet the department’s sales and service goals.
- Establish and control the detailing budget and forecasts, ensuring profitability.
- Prepare and present detailing quotes and close work orders once completed.
- Supervise detailing teams and ensure optimal task allocation.
- Guarantee the quality of detailing on new and used vehicles; perform quality inspections.
- Maintain and update service records and reports (productivity, feedback, warranties, customer satisfaction).
- Develop and monitor a staff training program for detailers; keep training records.
- Lead workshop meetings and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage customer complaints according to dealer policy and ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements.
- Ensure proper reporting procedures and the accuracy of documents required by the manufacturer.
- Oversee cleaning, maintenance, and safety of the workshop.
- Implement safety measures and promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure the team records working hours accurately.
Technical Activities (Operational Tasks)
- Application of wax and paint treatments.
- Monitor work progress and allocate tasks.
- Overall supervision of the department and coordination with advisors.
Candidate Profile
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in roles related to automotive aesthetics (detailing technician, wash, etc.).
- 1 year in quality control; 2 years as an internal technical advisor; 1 year in aesthetic management or team leadership.
- Valid driver’s license. Key Skills:

- Customer-oriented with excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to set, deploy, and monitor sales and service goals.
- Good presentation and neat appearance.
- Ability to train and develop staff skills and identify training needs.
