Warehouse Clerk – Automotive Parts Department (Montreal, QC)
Under the supervision of the parts manager, the warehouse clerk ensures the reception, storage, sorting, and shipping of automotive parts. They ensure the efficient organization of inventory, maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse, and carry out deliveries to customers, workshops, and partners. They contribute to the accuracy of orders and the accessibility of parts.
Note: a skills card may be required depending on the region and collective bargaining regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and ship parts.
- Unpack, inspect, and check the accuracy of orders.
- Place parts in the appropriate locations according to established procedures.
- Maintain an effective filing system and ensure parts are accessible.
- Replenish and organize shelves and storage areas.
- Prepare orders for customers, workshops, and suppliers.
- Perform deliveries and loading/unloading of vehicles.
- Manage returns and shipments to manufacturers or suppliers during claims or warranty processes.
- Participate in inventories and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain daily cleanliness of the parts department and warehouse (sorting packaging, waste disposal, sweeping, cleaning bins and storage areas).
- Comply with health and safety standards.
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Profile and Qualifications
- Minimum experience: 2 years in a warehouse, logistics, or automotive parts department.
- Valid driver’s license (class 5).
- Good physical condition and ability to lift and move loads.
- Organizational skills, precision, and team spirit.
- Customer service orientation and good communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Bilingual (French/English) preferred.
- Skills card issued by the joint committee, when required by the region.
