CARSTAR Laval Ste-Rose, a recognized player in automotive repair and finishing, is seeking a motivated and meticulous Automotive Preparateur-Painter / Finisher to strengthen its workshop. You will join a dedicated team and contribute to restoring damaged vehicles while adhering to quality standards and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting: sanding, masking, dusting, and decontamination.
• Apply base coats, varnishes, and finishes according to technical specifications and color matching.
• Mix colors, adjust shades, and perform minor touch-ups to achieve a uniform finish.
• Control work quality, verify color consistency and absence of defects, and correct when necessary.
• Work in coordination with the body shop team to ensure alignment and precision of finishes.
• Follow safety procedures, environmental standards, and workshop instructions.
• Keep the workshop clean and tools in good working condition; document completed work when required.

Profile / Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role as an automotive preparateur-painter / finisher.
• Proficiency in surface preparation techniques, masking, and finishing; ability to mix colors and read technical sheets.
• Mastery of painting tools and equipment (sprayers, booths, products, etc.).
• Attention to detail, quality-consciousness, and good organizational skills.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills; ability to work in a dynamic workshop environment.
• Respect for safety standards and ability to stand for long periods.
