CARSTAR Laval Ste-Rose, a recognized leader in auto body repair and finishing, is seeking a motivated and meticulous Prepper / Finisher to strengthen its workshop. The company is closed on weekends for better work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting: sanding, masking, dusting, and decontamination.
• Apply base coats, varnish, and finishing layers according to technical specifications and color matches.
• Mix colors, adjust shades, and perform minor touch-ups for a uniform finish.
• Quality control of work: color uniformity, absence of defects, and corrections if necessary.
• Collaborate with the bodywork team to ensure alignment and precision of finishes.
• Follow safety procedures, environmental standards, and workshop instructions.
• Keep the workshop clean, tools in good condition, and document work when required.

Profile Sought

• Minimum experience: 1 year in a similar role as an auto body prepper / finisher.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, masking, and finishing; ability to mix colors and read technical sheets.
• Mastery of painting tools and equipment (sprayers, booths, products, etc.).
• Attention to detail, quality-conscious, and good organizational skills.
• Team spirit and good communication skills; ability to work in a dynamic workshop.
• Adherence to safety standards and ability to stand for long periods.
