Experienced Mechanic / Technician – Auto Service Workshop (Sorel-Tracy)

Location: Sorel-Tracy, Quebec | Job Type: Full-time | Hours: Monday to Friday; company is closed on weekends

About the position Join an auto service workshop in Sorel-Tracy, focused on quality and customer satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with a professional team to diagnose and repair vehicles, respecting manufacturer procedures and safety standards.

Your responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures on vehicles, ensuring safety and work quality
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and reviews according to manufacturer procedures
• Read and interpret diagrams, manuals, and diagnostics; use appropriate diagnostic tools and software
• Replace, repair, or adjust worn parts (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, ignition and electrical systems, etc.)
• Collaborate with the service team to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate intervention records and document repairs performed
• Adhere to safety standards, internal procedures, and quality requirements

Qualifications required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive mechanics
• Relevant diploma or training in automotive mechanics; certifications considered an asset
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; ability to work with computerized/OBD diagnostics
• Ability to read technical plans and diagrams; proficiency with workshop tools and equipment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team-oriented, customer service-minded, and excellent communicator
• Valid driver's license
