Experienced Automotive Mechanic

Centre de l’Auto, a recognized garage specializing in general mechanical work, maintenance, repairs, and tire services, is seeking an experienced automotive mechanic passionate about mechanics and eager to provide quality customer service.

Job Description

As an automotive mechanic, you will perform diagnostics, mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and servicing on vehicles of all makes, using specialized tools and equipment to ensure safety and reliability.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, brakes, filters, general inspections)
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic systems using computerized diagnostic tools (OBD2, multimeter, etc.)
• Carry out major and minor mechanical repairs (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering)
• Perform wheel alignment (advantage)
• Repair and replace suspension and steering components
• Mount, dismount, and balance tires (tire service)
• Ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of repairs
• Complete work reports and communicate with technical advisors
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop

Technical Skills and Areas of Expertise

• Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines and anti-pollution systems
• Diagnostics of hybrid and electric vehicles
• Air conditioning and heating systems
• Gasoline injection and electronic systems
• ECM/PCM/ECU programming
• Suspension, steering, and hydraulic braking systems

Desired Profile and Qualifications

• DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent training
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive mechanics
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Autonomy, rigor, attention to detail, and team spirit
• Valid driver's license (Class 5)
