Experienced Car Mechanic / Technician

Location: Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec

Garage Salvatore, a family workshop continuing a tradition born at Ferrari, is seeking an experienced mechanic / technician to strengthen its team. Open to pre-retirement candidates, our small-scale shop values a peaceful atmosphere, sharing expertise, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles according to quality standards and deadlines.
• Perform electronic diagnostics (scanner) and mechanical diagnostics (engine, transmission, electronics, suspension, braking, exhaust) and conduct test drives after intervention.
• Schedule and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs according to workshop protocols.
• Write intervention reports.
• Collaborate with other technicians and share best practices stemming from family heritage and racing experience.
• Technical areas of intervention (examples): gasoline engines, anti-pollution systems, hybrids/electric vehicles, air conditioning/heating, fuel injection system, electrical/electronic systems, ECM/PCM/ECU programming, suspension/steering, hydraulic brakes.

Profile Sought

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive mechanics.
• DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent; knowledge of modern systems and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and common electronic technologies in modern vehicles.
• Ability to work independently while integrating into a small team; attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professionalism, organization, and customer service skills.
• Collaborative spirit, willingness to share knowledge within a family-oriented and passionate environment.
