Apprentice Mechanic – Hyundai Saint-Constant (1-year fixed-term contract)

Join our dynamic workshop and contribute to the maintenance and repair of Hyundai vehicles and a limited number of other brands under the supervision of experienced mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance in accordance with company guidelines on Hyundai vehicles and a limited range of other brands.
• Diagnose simple to moderate breakdowns, conduct functional tests, and verify the quality of repairs.
• Assist experienced mechanics and adhere to established procedures and deadlines.
• Prepare and recommission vehicles respecting safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment; document interventions in diagnostic systems and records.
• Participate in continuous improvement and share best practices with the team.

Key Technical Tasks

• Engine diagnosis and repair (gasoline)
• Diagnosis and repair of anti-pollution systems
• Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles
• Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning and heating systems
• Diagnosis and repair of fuel injection systems (gasoline)
• Electrical and electronic diagnosis and repair
• ECM/PCM/ECU programming
• Suspension and steering repair
• Brake system repair (hydraulic)

Profile Sought

• Vocational diploma (DEP) in automotive mechanics or equivalent; workshop experience preferred.
• Minimum experience: 1 year in a similar role or progressive apprenticeship under a apprentice contract; 3 years of experience as a mechanic/technician is an asset.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems; ability to read diagrams and diagnose simple faults.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Good communication skills and team spirit; customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude, reliability, and ability to work in a performance and quality-oriented environment.
• Availability and adaptability to fit into the schedule and pace of work.
• Certifications: CPA skill card (1, 2, 3 or A, B, C).
