Automobile Mechanic / Technician — Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville (Permanent, full-time)
Canadian Tire Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville is seeking a motivated Mechanic / Technician to strengthen its team and provide exceptional service to our customers.
About the opportunity Join a dynamic team within a large automotive retail network. You will work on a wide range of vehicles, with modern tools and a constant focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles using modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and identify parts to replace.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures; ensure follow-up on interventions.
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Write clear and detailed intervention reports and provide quality customer service.
Required qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive mechanics (including at least 1 year in a paid position).
- Relevant diploma (DEP in automotive mechanics, AEC, or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of modern vehicles (including hybrids and electric).
- Analytical ability, quick diagnostic skills, and problem-solving.
- Valid driver's license; availability to work as needed by the service.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Engine diagnosis and repair (gasoline)
- Diagnosis and repair of emissions control systems
- Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles
- Diagnosis and repair of the air conditioning and heating system
- Diagnosis and repair of the gasoline fuel injection system
- Diagnosis and repair of electrical and electronic systems
- ECM - PCM - ECU programming
- Repair of suspension and steering
- Repair and maintenance of the braking system (hydraulic)
Experience and license
- Relevant experience in automotive mechanics (see Qualifications required)
- Valid automobile driver’s license
