About the position We are seeking a Vehicle Inspection Specialist Mechanic (m/w/d) to join the service team at Ford St-Basile. Based in Saint-Basile-le-Grand, this position contributes to our pursuit of excellence and innovation by providing objective assessments and detailed reports that guide purchasing decisions and technical interventions. You will work within a Ford dealership offering a high-level customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive technical inspections of used vehicles (mechanical, electronic, structural, and safety).
• Diagnose potential faults and recommend appropriate repairs or preventive measures.
• Write clear and actionable inspection reports for customers and the sales team.
• Collaborate with technicians and sales staff to estimate costs and plan interventions.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality, safety standards, and manufacturer standards.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and track parts and warranties.
• Effectively communicate findings and options to clients and team members, simplifying technical aspects when necessary.

Candidate profile

Required qualifications

• Training or diploma in automobile mechanics.
• Strong skills in mechanical and electronic diagnostics and mastery of diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication and technical report writing skills.
• Team spirit, customer service orientation, and ability to advise clients.
• Valid driver’s license; availability to work according to service needs.
• Proficiency in French; English is an asset.
