Mechanic / Technician

Position: Senior Mechanical Technician at Girard Automobiles (Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM & FIAT)

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Various diagnostics and repairs of gasoline engines and anti-pollution systems.
• Diagnostics and repairs of hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Maintenance of air conditioning, climate control, and heating systems.
• Diagnostics and repairs of fuel injection systems and electrical/electronic circuits.
• ECM/PCM/ECU programming.
• Repair and maintenance of suspension, steering, and hydraulic braking systems.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanics (3 years in apprenticeship + 2 years in practical work) — or demonstrable and relevant equivalent.
• Expertise and ease with diagnostics.
• Experience with Chrysler/Stellantis products is a major asset.
• Valid driver's license.
• Diligence, good judgment, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
• Team spirit and quality orientation.

Skills and Certifications

• CPA competency card (Levels 1, 2, 3 or A, B, C) or equivalent.
• CPA apprentice card (1st, 2nd, 3rd year) depending on progression.
• Software: Reynolds & Reynolds and SAAQclic (or equivalents used by us).
• Experience in diagnostic management and complex repairs.

Technical Requirements and Knowledge

• Practical knowledge of modern automotive electronic and electrical systems.
• Ability to conduct precise diagnostics and propose sustainable solutions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions and Environment

• Full-time position in the Repentigny region and surroundings.
