Heavy Truck Mechanic – Montreal (permanent position)
Permanent position – Day shift or evening shift – Montreal
Excellence Peterbilt is looking for a Heavy Truck Mechanic to join a skilled and respectful team. You will work in a structured environment where safety and quality of work remain priorities.
Hours
- Day shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Evening shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair engines and associated systems (gasoline)
- Diagnose and repair anti-pollution systems
- Diagnose and repair hybrid or electric vehicles
- Diagnose and repair air conditioning and heating systems
- Diagnose and repair the fuel injection system (gasoline)
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems
- Program ECM/PCM/ECU
- Repair suspension and steering
- Maintain and repair the braking system (hydraulic)
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy truck or construction equipment mechanics
- Knowledge of Cummins or PACCAR engines (an asset)
- Experience in electrical diagnostics (an asset)
- Ability to understand technical English (reading and understanding documents/videos)
- Curiosity, autonomy, and desire to learn
- Potential and willingness to advance are welcome
