Job Offer: Experienced Automotive Mechanic / Technician

Alex Pneu et Mécanique, established in the Plateau-Mont-Royal area of Montreal for 45 years, is looking for an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join a passionate and dynamic team.

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain light and utility vehicles.
• Perform electronic and mechanical diagnostics using specialized tools (OBD diagnostics and other computerized tools).
• Install and replace tires, brakes, suspensions, exhaust systems, and other components.
• Plan interventions and meet deadlines; inform the workshop manager of necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with the technical team and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards (notably GREEN KEY practices).

Profile Sought

• DEP or DEC in automotive mechanics or equivalent diploma; minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicles' mechanical and electronic systems; ability to diagnose using computerized tools (OBD, etc.).
• Team spirit, autonomy, and organizational skills; valid driver's license.
• Fluent in French; English preferred.

Technical Skills

• Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines and anti-pollution systems.
• Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles.
• Air conditioning/heating systems; fuel injection; electrical and electronic systems.
• ECM/PCM/ECU programming.
• Suspension, steering, and braking systems (hydraulic).
