Automotive Mechanic / Technician – Journeyman Level
Ford Île-Perrot (Autoforce Group)
Location: Île-Perrot, Quebec
Compensation: up to $42/hour depending on experience and certifications
Schedule: Day shifts with Friday afternoons off
Work environment: New, air-conditioned, well-equipped workshop

Job Description
Join a dynamic and professional team working on various vehicles, including commercial vehicles up to 56,000 lbs with commercial certification.
Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles according to manufacturer standards
- Perform regular preventive maintenance
- Use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment
- Follow health and safety standards
- Enter work reports into the computerized SERTI system
Common technical tasks
- Wheel alignment
- Diagnosis and repair of engines (diesel and gasoline)
- Diagnosis and repair of transmissions
- Diagnosis and repair of anti-pollution systems
- Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles
- Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning/heating systems
- Diagnosis and repair of injection systems (diesel and gasoline)
- Electrical and electronic diagnosis and repair
- ECM/PCM/ECU programming
- Suspension and steering repair
- Hydraulic brake system repair and maintenance
Profile Sought
- Minimum experience: 4 years in automotive mechanics
- 3 years as a Mechanic/Technician (apprentice)
- 1 year as a confirmed Mechanic/Technician
- CPA skills card at the journeyman level (3rd, 2nd, or 1st class) or 3rd-year apprentice
- Valid driver’s license
- Attention to detail, good manual skills
- Personal tool chest
- Ford certification or experience with North American brands considered an asset
