Mechanic – Mobile Unit (Laval) | Permanent Evening Position

Permanent position attached to the Laval branch. Interventions directly at our clients' locations or on the road, with a fully equipped service vehicle provided.

Job Context

You enjoy teamwork, taking on mechanical challenges, and delivering quality repairs. You work in the field on the move, diagnose and repair vehicles on site, and ensure impeccable customer service. Evening hours to be determined.

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engines and mechanical systems during service calls, identify the cause, and perform necessary repairs.
• Coordinate and direct technical interventions in collaboration with parts departments and technical advisors when additional work is required or cannot be performed on the road.
• Document and follow up on repairs.
• Conduct road tests to verify the compliance of repairs when necessary.
• Clearly communicate technical information and ensure proper reporting.

Technical Skills (experience and covered areas)

• Diagnoses and repairs on:
  • Gas engines and injection systems
  • Anti-pollution systems
  • Hybrid or electric vehicles
  • Air conditioning and heating systems
  • Electrical and electronic systems
  • ECM/PCM/ECU programming
  • Suspension and steering
  • Hydraulic braking system

Desired Profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanic work (relevant experience)
• Diploma in heavy vehicle mechanics (asset)
• Category 3 driver's license required, with an excellent driving record
• Excellent proficiency with computer tools
• Excellent customer relations and service orientation
• Versatile, autonomous, and capable of working in the field

Schedule

• Evening work, Monday to Friday (hours to be confirmed)
