Automotive Technician – Electrical Diagnosis and Engines
Lachute Subaru is seeking an experienced automotive technician specialized in electrical diagnostics and engine repairs to join its team.

Main Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using computerized tools and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve failures in electrical and electronic systems; repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
- Perform major repairs (engines, transmissions, differentials, and other powertrain components).
- Conduct periodic maintenance (oil, brakes, suspension, tires, etc.) and inspections related to manufacturer warranties and recalls.
- Inspect used vehicles and document encountered issues.
- Collaborate with the manufacturer’s technical line and share knowledge with the team.
- Work with parts and service departments to ensure efficient customer service.
- Follow manufacturer standards, repair procedures, and safety instructions; document work in vehicle files.
- Consult service bulletins and technical information from the manufacturer.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent experience; Class A, B, or C skill card.
- Significant experience in electrical and electronic diagnostics; engine repair and diagnostics.
- Good mastery of computerized diagnostic tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience with Subaru is an asset.

- Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am–5:00 pm; Friday, 8:00 am–12:00 pm.

Areas of Intervention (Summary of Technical Tasks)
- Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines; anti-pollution systems; hybrid or electric vehicles.
- Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning and heating systems.
- Diagnosis and repair of fuel injection systems.
- Electrical and electronic diagnostics; programming ECM/PCM/ECU.
- Repair of suspension and steering; hydraulic braking system.
Minimum Experience Requirements
- 1 year of experience as an automotive mechanic/technician.
