Mechanic / Automotive Technician or Apprentice – Gatineau (OK Pneus)

OK Pneus, located in Gatineau, Quebec, is looking for a Mechanic / Automotive Technician or Apprentice (+1 year of experience) to join a dynamic and service-oriented team. The position is without weekend work, promoting work-life balance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicles; perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Mount, dismount, balance, and change tires; perform rotations and alignments.
  • Work on braking, suspension, exhaust, and electrical systems; interpret diagnostic codes.
  • Read and complete service sheets; communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
  • Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Work as a team to provide quick and reliable service.

Desired Profile

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive mechanics; apprentices accepted if experience is present.
  • Relevant diploma or training in automotive mechanics, or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment, including tire mounting/demounting, balancing, and alignment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong customer service skills, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Main Tasks

  • Oil and filter changes.
  • Follow the mandatory preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Install tires and wheels; replace batteries.
