About the Company Vision Chevrolet Buick GMC Inc., located in Delson, is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to strengthen our dynamic and service-oriented workshop. You will work on GM vehicles and used cars, in an environment focused on quality and customer satisfaction. Collaborate closely with technicians and the after-sales team.
Your main responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems: engines, transmissions, brakes, air conditioning, and electronic circuits.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs under warranty and outside warranty according to GM standards.
- Conduct diagnostics using modern equipment and OBD-II tools.
- Document interventions, write reports, and clearly communicate work and estimated costs to the customer and service team.
- Follow safety procedures, quality requirements, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to provide an optimal customer experience.
- Participate in continuous improvement and skill development through GM training.
Profile
- Minimum experience: 3 years as an automotive mechanic/technician.
- Education: DEP in Automotive Mechanics or equivalent recognized experience.
- Technical skills: solid knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical and electronic systems; proficiency in diagnostics with modern tools (OBD-II, multimeter, etc.).
- Aptitudes: analytical mindset, ability to diagnose and resolve issues, propose reliable repairs.
- Interpersonal skills: good team spirit, service-oriented, excellent communication with customers.
- License: valid driver's license; availability for flexible hours and, if necessary, overtime.
- Adaptability: continuous improvement mindset and ability to work according to GM protocols.

Key technical tasks (core responsibilities)
- Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines
- Diagnostics and repairs of anti-pollution systems
- Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles
- Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning and heating systems
- Diagnosis and repair of fuel injection systems
- Electrical and electronic diagnosis; ECM/PCM/ECU programming
- Suspension and steering repair
- Hydraulic brake system repair
Additional qualifications
- Software: Reynolds & Reynolds (knowledge appreciated)
- Personal qualities: punctuality, autonomy, productivity
- Certifications desired: Halocarbures; CPA competency card (1,2,3 or A,B,C); knowledge of diesel mechanics is an asset
