Experienced Automotive Mechanic / Apprentice Journeyman

Hyundai Châteauguay is looking for an experienced automotive mechanic journeyman and/or apprentice to join our dynamic team.

About the position

You will work on a variety of vehicles, focusing on diagnosis, repair, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation and a quality customer experience. You will work with state-of-the-art tools and equipment and ensure precise traceability of each intervention.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engines in operation and malfunction
• Test vehicles on the road to identify issues
• Repair or replace faulty components
• Test and adjust elements according to specifications
• Diagnose and repair:
  • Gasoline engines
  • Anti-pollution systems
  • Hybrid or electric vehicles
  • Air conditioning and heating systems
  • Fuel injection systems
  • Electrical and electronic systems
• Program ECM/PCM/ECU components
• Repair suspension, steering, and hydraulic braking systems
• Write detailed and accurate intervention reports

Profile sought

• Experience in automotive mechanics (at least 1 year as a mechanic/technician or equivalent experience)
• Valid Quebec driver's license
• Attention to quality work and good observation skills
• Personal tools and/or willingness to use provided tools
• Bilingual (French / English)
• Good physical condition
