Mechanic / Automotive Technician – Chambly (Honda)

Location: Chambly, South Shore, near Longueuil

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures on Honda vehicles and other brands according to manufacturer standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine interventions (brakes, suspension, transmission, air conditioning, exhaust, etc.).
• Conduct diagnostics using dedicated tools and software and propose the best solutions.
• Follow safety procedures, environmental standards, and workshop rules.
• Document interventions, ensure traceability of used parts, and communicate relevant information to the team and customer.
• Collaborate with the after-sales service to ensure efficient repairs and optimal customer satisfaction.
• Keep technical knowledge up to date through internal and external training.

Technical Areas (Key Tasks)

• Diagnosis and repair of gasoline engines
• Diagnosis and repair of anti-pollution systems
• Diagnosis and repair of hybrid or electric vehicles
• Diagnosis and repair of air conditioning/heating systems
• Diagnosis and repair of fuel injection systems
• Electrical and electronic diagnostics and repairs
• Programming ECM / PCM / ECU
• Repair of suspension and steering systems
• Maintenance and repair of hydraulic braking systems

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Professional diploma (DEP) in automotive mechanics or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of automotive systems and technologies; experience with Honda vehicles is an asset
• Strong diagnostic, maintenance, and repair skills
• Excellent communication skills and team spirit; autonomy and organization
• Valid driver's license
• Fluent French; operational English is an asset
