Mechanic / Technician – Electric Vehicles (EV)

Location: Brossard, QC | Day shift | 40 hours per week

Mega Kia Brossard is seeking a passionate Electric Vehicle (EV) Mechanic / Technician to strengthen our dynamic team. You will work in an air-conditioned workshop and benefit from a professional environment conducive to developing your skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electric and hybrid vehicles, adhering to manufacturer standards and our internal procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, propulsion, batteries, and power electronics.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and diagnostic reports; use appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures related to high-voltage work.
• Collaborate with the service team to deliver high-quality customer service and sustainable solutions.
• Document interventions and keep technical and service records up to date.
• Participate in ongoing training and share knowledge with the team.

Profile and Skills

• Minimum of one year of experience in automobile repair; preference for skills with electric vehicles.
• Knowledge or experience with EV/HEV vehicles; experience with Kia/Hyundai brands is an asset.
• Good team spirit, rigor, autonomy, and quick learning ability.
• Strong interest in technologies related to electric vehicles.

Desired Technical Skills

• Training in automotive mechanics, electromechanics, or equivalent.
• Reading electrical diagrams and using diagnostic tools.
• Programming and calibration of control units (ECU/ECM) and battery management systems (BMS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety standards and work procedures in high-voltage environments.
