Technician – Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Trucks) – Boucherville Region

We are looking for an experienced technician to ensure the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of heavy truck systems, with a supervisory role over apprentices.

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy vehicle systems, including:
  • Gas engines and injection systems
  • Anti-pollution systems
  • Hybrid or electric vehicles
  • Air conditioning and heating
  • Electrical and electronic systems
  • ECM/PCM/ECU programming
  • Suspension, steering, and hydraulic brake system
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts in various systems and components
• Conduct road tests and tests to validate repairs according to manufacturer specifications
• Verify malfunctions and prepare detailed work reports
• Review and follow work instructions
• Supervise, train, and assist apprentices
• Perform periodic maintenance and ensure traceability of interventions

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy vehicle mechanics and multi-system diagnostics
• Mastery of gas engine systems, injection systems, electrical/electronic systems, and HVAC systems
• Skills in diagnostics on hybrid/electric vehicles
• Ability to program and diagnose PCM/ECU units
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and work instructions
• Team spirit, rigor, and ability to supervise apprentices
• Safety-oriented and precise in interventions
