Position: Experienced Mechanic / Technician – Electrical and Diagnostic Location: Blainville, Quebec
Pro-Mécanique de la Gare Garage is looking for an experienced mechanic / technician with strong skills in electrical systems and diagnostics to join our dynamic workshop.
Job Description Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on light and utility vehicles. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures using appropriate diagnostic tools (OBD, multimeters, oscilloscope, etc.). Analyze electrical schematics and electronic systems to propose effective solutions. Ensure the quality of interventions through testing and updating records. Collaborate with the team to provide fast and high-quality service while adhering to safety standards and current procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of light and utility vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures with specialized tools (OBD, multimeters, oscilloscope).
- Analyze electrical schematics and electronic systems; implement optimal solutions.
- Road tests, quality controls, and updating intervention records.
- Work as part of a team to ensure quick and reliable service.
- Strictly follow safety standards and operational procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive mechanics.
- Proven aptitude in automotive electrical systems (diagnosis and repair of electrical/electronic systems).
- Mastery of diagnostic tools and knowledge of modern vehicles (OBD, multimeters, oscilloscope).
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team spirit and good communication skills.
- Relevant diploma in automotive mechanics or equivalent (an asset).
