Apprentice Mechanic / Technician – Automotive Service
Location: Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot, QC
CDF ProMecanique is seeking a motivated Apprentice Mechanic / Technician to join its qualified service team. Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on various vehicles under the supervision of experienced technicians.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure safety and performance.
- Support component replacements, brake work, adjustments, and other service tasks according to instructions.
- Use diagnostic tools and service documents; clearly document findings and actions taken.
- Maintain organized work orders, ensure quality of work, and keep the workshop clean and safe.
- Follow safety policies and wear personal protective equipment, including prescribed safety glasses.
- Participate in ongoing training and job rotation to enhance your skills.
Profile
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive/mechanical service; good knowledge of basic automotive systems.
- Ability to read manuals and diagrams; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using standard diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
- Fluent in French; English is an asset.
- Team player, good communication skills, and committed to learning and safety.
- Valid driver’s license; legally eligible to work in Canada.
