Job Description
Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice) – Radial Tire Center La Prairie
A family-owned business, Point S – Radial Tire Center La Prairie, located on Taschereau Boulevard since 1947, is looking for a motivated mechanic / technician (apprentice) to join its team.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance and simple repairs on vehicles (suspension, brakes, tire mounting and dismounting, oil and filter changes).
- Participate in regular maintenance services and assist technicians during more complex interventions under supervision.
- Use workshop tools and equipment while respecting safety procedures and manufacturer standards.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the workshop and ensure efficient and quality service.
- Track progress of work and communicate with the team and clients as necessary to guarantee their satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in basic tasks described (suspension, brakes, tire mounting, oil and filter changes).
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and workshop tools.
- Team spirit, ability to learn quickly, and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation; autonomy under supervision and ability to follow directives.
- Formal training or equivalent experience in automotive mechanics is an asset; motivated to progress towards more technical responsibilities.
- CPA skill card (1, 2, 3 or A, B, C).
