Position: Automotive Apprentice Mechanic – Lachute Subaru

The Position in Brief We are looking for an experienced apprentice mechanic to join a small team where collaboration is at the core of the work. At Lachute Subaru, tasks are shared and executed collectively to ensure efficient and quality service while maintaining motivation.
Main Responsibilities
Maintenance and Inspection
- Perform periodic maintenance (oil changes, braking, suspension, tire installation, etc.).
- Conduct inspections related to warranty and manufacturer recalls.
- Inspect used vehicles.
Advanced Diagnostics and Repairs
- Diagnose complex problems using computer and electronic tools.
- Repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
- Perform major repairs (transmission, engine, differential, etc.) according to your skills.
Technical Support and Communication
- Open tickets with the manufacturer’s technical line to report and resolve problems.
- Write QMRs (Quality Mechanical Reports) to document anomalies and facilitate vehicle improvements.
- Communicate with the parts department and service advisors to ensure efficient repairs.
- Read service bulletins daily.
Compliance with Standards and Safety
- Apply manufacturer standards and repair procedures.
- Follow safety instructions and environmental regulations.
- Accurately document work performed in vehicle files.
Candidate Profile
Requirements
- DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience
- Skills card
- Valid driver’s license
- Subaru experience: an asset
