Auto Service Attendant – Cowansville Nissan

Job Summary Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the Service Attendant participates in preventive maintenance and basic repairs of vehicles and equipment. They perform workshop support tasks, contribute to a safe work environment, and assist the team in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the team of technicians in daily workshop activities to ensure efficient operations.
• Participate in general vehicle maintenance according to Nissan procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment; ensure proper use of tools and facilities.
• Carry out assigned tasks meticulously and with attention to detail.
• Develop technical knowledge and mechanical skills with the guidance of experienced mechanics.
• Collaborate with team members to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Specific Tasks

• Perform oil changes and basic preventive maintenance.
• Check and adjust vehicle fluid levels.
• Rotate, install, and store tires.
• Conduct visual inspections and report any observed anomalies.
• Replace simple components such as bulbs, batteries, and windshield wipers.
• Prepare vehicles before and after maintenance work.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Assist mechanics with maintenance and repairs.
• Perform any other related tasks contributing to the smooth functioning of the workshop.

Profile

• Interest in automotive mechanics and desire to learn.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and excellent team spirit.
• Resourcefulness, autonomy, and willingness to take initiative.
• Good learning ability.
• Hold a Class 5 driver's license.
• No mechanical training required.
• Proficiency in English is an asset, given interactions with bilingual clients in the Cowansville area.

Working Conditions and Benefits

• Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday.
