Job Description
Senior Technical Advisor – GM (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Corvette)
Ste-Marie Chevrolet Buick GMC Corvette is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Advisor, solution-oriented and customer service-driven, to strengthen our GM technical and sales team.
About the Position
You are the technical reference and the primary point of contact for the service and sales teams on all GM vehicles (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Corvette). You diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, share your knowledge, and support commercial activities with your technical expertise.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as the technical reference and key contact for the service and sales teams on GM vehicles.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems using technical bulletins (TSBs), electronic diagnostics, and GM tools.
- Transmit procedures, updates, and GM fixes, and train technicians and advisors.
- Assist with road tests and present technical solutions to customers to facilitate purchase and service decisions.
- Support preventive maintenance planning and service campaigns; ensure repairs are properly executed.
- Collaborate with the parts department to ensure OEM GM parts availability and optimize turnaround times.
- Ensure work complies with GM standards for quality, warranty, and safety.
- Participate in continuous improvement of technical processes, tools, and investigation methods.
- Provide technical support during the sales process by explaining technical aspects, warranties, and GM options.
- Supervise and mentor colleagues to develop their technical skills and product knowledge of GM vehicles.
Desired Profile and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with General Motors (GM) products.
- Technical or college diploma in automotive mechanics or equivalent experience.
- Good knowledge of GM systems (engine, electronics, transmissions, safety, and connectivity).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to simplify technical concepts.
- Autonomy, team spirit, organizational skills, and time management.
- Fluent in French; technical English appreciated.
- Valid driver's license.
