The role
We are recruiting an experienced Director of Sales to lead and develop our sales team, ensure objectives are met and provide an exceptional customer experience. You rally the team around common goals and contribute to the dealer's sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement the sales strategy in line with overall objectives and the annual plan.
- Lead, coach and develop the sales team (sales consultants and area managers) to optimize performance and customer satisfaction.
- Set individual and collective objectives, monitor KPIs and produce regular reports for management.
- Strengthen relationships with key customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to plan and execute promotions and campaigns aimed at increasing revenue.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, energize the customer experience and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
- Optimize budgets, commission programs and cost control related to sales activity.
- Participate in inventory management and coordinate with departments (receiving, after-sales service) for a consistent customer experience.
- Implement ongoing training and develop the team's skills.
Skills and qualifications required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales management or an equivalent role; experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership, ability to motivate, coach and develop talent.
- Excellent customer orientation, strong results focus and ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with sales management tools (CRM, reporting, Excel).
- Excellent communication skills; French required, English an asset.
- Relevant degree (DEC/BAC) is an asset; proven experience managing sales teams valued.
