Position: Parts Clerk / Automotive Parts Sales Advisor

About the Role

Under the supervision of the parts department manager, you will assist customers in-store and by phone, identify the necessary parts using OEM catalogs and VIN numbers, and propose suitable solutions. You will prepare orders, ensure data entry and follow-up of transactions, manage inventory and shelf displays, and support after-sales service and technicians to ensure rapid availability of parts. You will actively contribute to providing a high-level customer experience and to the efficient functioning of the parts department.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and advise customers on-site and by phone regarding automotive parts
• Identify required parts from catalogs, diagrams, and VINs, and propose appropriate solutions
• Enter orders, manage billing, and follow up until delivery
• Manage inventory, reordering, and organization of shelves
• Collaborate with the mechanical service and technicians to ensure parts availability
• Process returns and exchanges according to current procedures
• Participate in promotional setup and cross-selling
• Maintain a clean work environment in accordance with safety and quality standards

Profile Sought

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive parts sales or in a customer service role related to automobiles
• Good knowledge of automotive parts and systems; ability to read catalogs and diagrams
• Proficiency in computer tools and parts management systems
• Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills
• Fluent French; English is an asset
• Organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proactive mindset and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
