Automotive Painter – Quality Finishes (Saint-Rémi, QC)

Carrxpert St-Rémi, an auto body repair and painting workshop, is seeking a talented and meticulous painter to strengthen the team dedicated to quality finishes. The ideal candidate participates in implementing the finishes and ensures reliability and accuracy of the visual appearance within a framework focused on safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare painted surfaces: sanding, masking, degreasing, and repairing defects
• Mix, adjust, and apply coats of paint, varnish, and lacquers according to technical sheets and quality standards
• Perform necessary touch-ups and corrections and ensure uniformity of shades
• Check the appearance of finishes and make required adjustments
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the workshop and adhere to safety procedures
• Collaborate with other teams (bodywork, preparation) to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction
• Document interventions and parameters used in the internal tracking system
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of painting processes

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in automotive painting or a similar environment
• Proficiency in masking techniques, surface preparation, tint mixing, and varnish application
• Ability to read and interpret technical sheets and work orders
• Attention to detail and quality demands, concern for the finished work
• Good teamwork, organizational skills, and time management
• Compliance with safety, hygiene standards, and internal procedures
