Automotive Technician Journeyman and/or Apprentice – Hyundai Châteauguay

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose engines in motion and breakdowns; perform road tests to identify malfunctions.
• Repair or replace faulty components to ensure proper vehicle operation.
• Diagnose and repair systems:
  • Engine and fuel injection systems
  • Anti-pollution systems
  • Hybrid and electric vehicles
  • Air conditioning and heating systems
  • Electric and electronic systems (including ECM/PCM/ECU programming)
  • Suspension and steering
  • Hydraulic braking systems
• Read, document, and write detailed work reports; verify repairs’ compliance with specifications.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards in the workshop.

Profile Sought

• Experience and level
  • Journeyman Technician: minimum 1 year of experience in automotive mechanics strongly preferred; technical excellence and ability to diagnose and repair.
  • Apprentice: training or demonstrated interest in automotive mechanics; motivation and willingness to learn alongside a mentor.
• Valid driver’s license in Quebec.
• Bilingual (French required; technical English appreciated).
• Personal tools or ability to work with workshop tools.
• Good physical condition and strong observation skills; pride in well-done work.
