Service Manager – Mechanical and After-Sales Department

A dealership on the south shore is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the mechanical operations and after-sales team. Reporting to the regional management, you will ensure the profitability of the department, operational efficiency, and a high-level customer experience within a solid, performance-oriented automotive group.

Your key responsibilities

• Financial management and profitability
  • Drive the gross profit of the department (GPP), control expenses, and optimize efficiency.
  • Reduce unproductive times and rigorously manage subcontractors.
• Leadership and team management
  • Supervise, motivate, and develop the team (technical advisors, technicians, clerks).
  • Plan staffing levels and ensure mandatory training is completed.
• Operational excellence
  • Optimize workshop workflows, manage peak periods (tire rush).
  • Maintain the reconditioning cycle of used vehicles within 48 hours.
• Customer experience (CSI)
  • Monitor CSI indicators, address alerts and reviews, and implement action plans to exceed brand expectations.
• Marketing and facility management
  • Participate in implementing after-sales promotions and ensure cleanliness and safety of service bays.

Profile sought

• Experience: At least 1 year as Service Manager in a volume automotive dealership, ideally in the Brossard area.
• Leadership: Excellent team manager, results-oriented, transparent communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Business sense: Strong knowledge of service financial ratios (GPP, efficiency, productivity, absorption rate).
• Results-driven: Demonstrable history of high CSI and rigorous process management.
• Asset: Knowledge of the Japanese brand or experience in a large dealership network.
